Téma: The End of History?

In his 1992 book The End of History, the political scientist Francis Fukuyama argued that the triumph of secular western democracy heralded the end point of human history. Other ideologies and ways of doing things had failed, he said; the society of the west was the pinnacle of human achievement, from which there could be no improvement.

But there have been and still are societies that see things very differently. India and China are two examples; while Fukuyama has also been criticised for failing to predict 9/11 and the importance of political Islamism, as well as the way events such as the failure of the Arab spring seem to contradict his thesis.

Was Fukuyama right about The End of History? Or was his book a load of hubristic nonsense?

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
